Set of Tim White Double Cream PAF Pickups
Estimated price for orientation: 720 $
Category: Pickups
Class:
Description Brand: Tim White Color: Double Cream Type: Humbucker Model: Ed A Wind Active/Passive: Passive Country/Region of Manufacture: United States Position: Bridge, Neck
If you are looking at these, you know what they are. A set of the legendary Double Cream Ed A Wind Tim White PAF Humbuckers. These may very well be the last set of Double Creams that Tim White made, as I got them a few months before he stopped making them. I ordered them in late 2004 and paid extra to move up on his waiting list. Bridge Pickup resistance is 8.47K and while it is hotter than most Bridge PAF clones, it remains sweet, articulate, and creamy as you would expect from these legendary and elusive pickups. Neck Pickup measures 8.01K and is creamy, smooth, and pure blues heaven.I had these pickups installed in a 2004 RO for a few months and IMHO, it was the best sounding historic I have ever heard. Obviously I removed these pickups when I sold that guitar in order to finance the purchase of another guitar. These pickups are very rare and are priced to sell but not given away. Good luck finding another set like this.
