TELEFUNKEN AC701 NOS FOR M49 M269 AND KM MICROPHONES HAS LONG LEADS AND RED DOT LOW NOISE SELECT DESIGNATION
A little known fact is that after 1965 the k designation was abandoned because all AC701s met the low noise requirements and the Red dot became standard.
These are no longer available from most mic repair techs so AC701s will surely continue to appreciate as much as the microphones they go into already have as they are an essential component without a replacement tube available. Studios with high caliber Neumann tube mics that use there should have a spare AC701 in case of emergency and here is a really great priced one.
