Offered at no reserve is an all original 2009 Taylor Acoustic / Electric Model 714ce guitar complete with the original hard shell case. I am the first owner, and the guitar has been professionally serviced and maintained throughout its life at Lansing, Michigan’s Elderly Instruments, an authorized Taylor dealer and Gold Level service center. The guitar is in superb condition and lives up to the Taylor reputation for playability. The back and sides are Indian rosewood, described unabashedly in the Taylor literature as a “tonewood superstar,” and the top is Western red cedar, a combination that gives the guitar a clear, rich and resonant tone. The guitar is fitted with Taylor’s proprietary NT (New Technology) hardwood neck for a stable, dependable response and micro adjustment if needed. The ebony fingerboard is in like-new condition with no pitting or gouging and is easy to navigate. The frets were given a complete dressing about two years ago and are also currently in like-new condition with no wear. The headstock is solid and is fitted with Grover style Taylor precision tuners. The guitar is also equipped with Taylor’s acoustic electric Expression System for amplification without loss of the instrument’s acoustic steel string sonic properties. The onboard ES works perfectly but a 9-volt battery is required to power the system. Volume, bass and treble knobs are within easy reach and are unobtrusively mounted. The instrument was recently restrung with D’Addario coated phosphor bronze strings – light gauge (.012 - .053). The guitar comes with its factory original Taylor hardshell case with a damage free, padded, close fitting soft-touch interior. Security latches all around. The exterior Tolex is also in superb condition with no scuffs or scrapes.
