This is an early Carlsbro Mk 1 Valve CS 40 - 60 PA amplifier Serial Number 356 with matching original speakers circa1966 judging by the serial number , speaker codes and the mustard cap codes.
Valve compliment is 2 EL 34 s, 3 Ecc83 s and a GZ34 rectifier. The system has been recently overhauled by Stoneham Amps and received new valves and a clean bill of health. It outputs about 50 watts of lovely valve power into 8ohms and as its an early model has a valve recitifier and an echo loop out for a reverb unit. The speakers are loaded with the original and beautiful pre Rola Celestion G15c speakers and twin horns via a passive crossover. All cabinet internal wiring is original and untouched. Overall condition is good with no big tears in the tolex and the cabinet cloth intact on both enclosures. I ve been playing my turntable through it at home and mono vinyl has never sounded better. I ve used it once or twice with an electro acoustic and sm58 mic with an impedance adapter. It sounds as warm and wonderful as it looks. It is insanely heavy, nearly 90kg in total ( amp is 20kg, cabs 32kg each so shipping is going to be difficult,( but not impossible ) and expensive. .
