Here is a poorly refinished strat body.   No visible cracks or repairs.  It appears that there is only a light coat of blue on top...no clear coat.   The blue isn't even glossy or satin so I assume it's not nitro and might as well have been bought at the local hardware store.   I used solvents to take some of the paint down in order to see what was underneath.  On the side I found black so at first I thought it was sunburst.   In the neck cavity you can also see a dark shadow surrounding where the paint stick would be.  Lastly, I dug into the back trem cavity and found black again over a light gray undercoat.   I also got a little carried away and got down to bare wood.   So, I determined that I can only make it worse and it's probably better left to a pro.  I don't know what condition the paint underneath might be for the simple fact that I don't have x-ray vision.   So without this super power super, it is being sold "as is".   It has initials stamped into the back just below where the neck plate would be.   The body weights 4.1 pounds.  Happy to answer any questions you may have so fire away.    Quick update.  Some photos have been added in outdoor light that show the color of the wood underneath a little better.    The solvent used in the neck pocket and lifted paint left behind a reddish tint however I lightly sanded the bass side wall a bit to reveal the true wood hue.    Also added some side photos.
