Epiphone MB250 Masterbuilt 5-string banjo. Made in Japan 1979, the golden era of Japanese copies. This Masterbuilt is in minty condition, near zero fret wear. Dot fingerboard unique to this model, rosewood like new. I bought it 2 years ago from an estate sale on eBay. The instrument looks like it was played a few times when new, then put back in the Gibson Mastertone hardshell case and stored in a closet for 35 years.It is an exact replica of the Gibson Mastertone RB250 series, using Gibson parts including bell brass tone ring. Every inch the same as a Mastertone except dot fingerboard. The craftsmanship is superb. Straight, violin thin neck, great action, perfect intonation, beautiful tone and, of course, Mastertone loud. With compensated bridge. Added new Shubb 5th string capo, neoprene comfort strap. Waverly FiberSkyn II head (love it). Gibson 70's vintage Mastertone HSC, excellent condition. (case appraised at $300)This is a great buy on a professional instrument in pristine condition. One flaw noticed, lacquer cloudy on resonator, easily fixed. I bought it thinking I'd get back to playing banjo but, it sat in its' case for most of the time. A pro or serious advanced student will be thrilled to play this magnificent banjo.US sale only.
