Up for sale is this late 70's large bore '2-20' model Bb Boehm system clarinet by Boosey & Hawkes of England. The keywork was re-designed for comfort in conjunction with famed clarinetist Reginald Kell and, with the extra large bore, these are great
, low priced horns for Jazz! It is grenadilla wood with nickel plated keys, a bore of .595", and is in great vintage condition, with no body cracks or repairs, just a few scratches. It has been disassembled, body soaked in oil, keys swedged and countersunk, new Ferree tan kidskin pads and cork installed, and reassembled and adjusted for optimal play-ability. Big, warm tone, free blowing, with great ergonomics and intonation. I am really pleased with the play-ability of the instrument!
