Wunder Audio CM49. Excellent condition. 1 owner, hardly used. Sounds AMAZING !! Extremely smooth and transparent. Warm and clear. Immaculate.Includes: Custom Pellican Case, Historical Yoke Mount, Newly Designed Wunder Audio Power Supply, Original mic cable.Created in 1949, the original Neumann M49 was a first of its kind. Utilizing two separate cardioid condenser systems, one could vary the voltage of the rear capsule remotely, providing 8 different polar patterns, from omni-directional to full figure-8. With the ability to control these settings from the power supply, an engineer could try different responses from the control room. This model also featured a slanted grill, whose design allows for less standing waves and therefore a very smooth response. The result was classic microphone that has been used on countless hits and has reached iconic status. The Wunder CM49 is a faithful reproduction, utilizing an M7 capsule, handmade in Germany to behave exactly like the original. Each model is assembled by hand, with point-to-point wiring right in Austin, Texas.
