Up for auction and for your consideration is a Vintage GX60 Japanese Maxon Boss Ibanez Amp With Original Vinyl cover 60/120 Watts. It has 44 Watts on the back, but when I purchased it, they said it was 60 Watts and sounds like that or more. The speaker is up to 120 Watts. I bought this amp New back in 1981 in Japan, and it has been with me ever since. I used it periodically to Studio Jam, but other than that, it has been setting for the last 25 years or so. I remember changing the speaker at one point in time to a Peavey Scorpion, and I believe they are 12 inch. Shortly thereafter I returned the Maxon speaker because I thought it sounded much better, and that is what is in it at this point. Recently I hooked up and turned it on to test before auction sale, and it seems to fade up and down in volume now, so not sure what that is. Used to Crank and has a very good sound at 60 watts with a beautiful overdrive deep Rich sound. I had put the little color stickers on to help me dial in certain sounds I had at that time. I have heard of the volume problems on all major amps, but never paid attention to what it was or how they are repaired, but I know it can be fixed. This is a highly collectable amp, and I have never saw another so far. I used to use a transformer on it, but it works great without it. Moving, I was going to keep it, but had to choose on equipment since I have too much as most musicians do. You get what is in the actual pictures of the item in this listing. It could use a good cleaning, but just years not anything seriously dirty or anything (maybe a few cobwebs and dust). for more great musician deals coming as well.
