Up for sale is a vintage Fender Jazz bass neck.  June 72 A.  It has various issues.  One, parts of both sides of binding are lost by the nut.  One side missing about 2", the other side missing the tip.  The nut is cracked on G side. There is the all-too-common first-fret crack.  The black block in the first fret is also lifting up and should be reset.  These cracks don't normally come from overusing a truss rod; they come because of the way Fender made the necks (truss rod on Jazz too close to the surface).  The truss rod on this one is a present problem; it is flush, the neck is pretty straight, but it is rusted and frozen.  It seems to have seen adverse days which have caused the above issues.  The only place I found playing issue was some fret-outs in the 12th-15th fret under the A-string.  I think this may have been due to the fact that the A-string on it was not a match to the other strings.  Otherwise the nut has a slight forward bow which falls out when strung up.  Anyways, cosmetically, the headstock is discolored, nicked, and dirty.  As is the fretboard, some dirt there. Also, normal wear on the fretboard from use; some spots of finish worn-through.  The back of the neck has light nicks and spots of wear; also, sticker residue I didn't remove.  The frets have some divots from 1-7 with about half of their total life left.  The divots on 1-3 may affect use in some way as they are moderately sized.
