So the official category for all handpans is "idiophone", just like gongs, bells, singing bowls, cymbals, etc.  But you won't offend me if you call it a drum.Gongpan/Handpan made from medium carbon steel, coated with special metal lacquer inside and out to protect from corrosion. Made by musician and instrument maker Christopher of the Wolves, who started playing his first handpan professionally in 2004.
Made and shipped from the state of Oregon, USA
This one is the sixth steel pan in my OMMAH series, which is an acronym for Operation Much More Affordable HandpanOMMAH pans are tuned well, durable and fun to play with hands or the soft rubber-tipped mallets that are included.
The scale is:  (D3), A, C4, D, F, G, A, C5, D Weighs 10 lbs., 23" diameter. Comes with a kickass soft-padded backpack case custom made by Namana Bags of Ukraine.
FYI about the clip of this instrument below.  If you play it on low-end speakers, or headphones, it will sound bad.  The sounds are powerful and rich with harmonic overtones, so try to use the best speakers you can.
