This guitar is part of Fender's 2016 Magnificent 7. What can this strange device be? This is what you would get if a Telecaster and a Jazzmaster had a child. The comfort and curvaceously slick style of a Jazzmaster body is married to a Telecaster neck, pickups and hardware to create the Limited Edition Offset Telecaster. The best of both worlds, this “hybrid” design is built for speed, comfort and style, as well as authentic Fender tone. All the classic elements of a Telecaster are present—3-saddle bridge, Tele control panel and knob layout and, of course, the famous Telecaster pickups that sing, snarl and scream. All three colors include a mint green pickguard and “Limited Edition” neck plate. This guitar weighs at 7.8 lbs. The Limited Edition Offset Telecaster combines the sultry and curvaceous offset body of a Jazzmaster® with a supremely comfortable and eminently playable Telecaster neck. This slick design also incorporates the familiar Tele control layout, 3-saddle bridge and the Telecaster’s famous pickups for a surprising new twist on the classic Fender design that started it all. In addition the Offset Telecaster incorporates a stylishly classic bridge from the Fender Custom Shop, with a rock-solid string-through-body design and three brass “barrel” saddles for an extra touch of original-era authenticity.
