You are looking at a stunning Yamaha YCR-6635 Maestro double trigger Bb Cornet. This instrument is a pro level instrument and after the Besson Soveriegn is probably the most popular cornet used in brass banding today, This model and now been replaced by the Xeno/Neo models which means 2nd hand examples of this instrument offer great value for money on the 2nd hand market selling for under the £1000 mark. This instrument has been fully refurbished and is in as new unmarked condition with NO dents, NO dings. The instrument is 100% A1 with brand new silver plate by europes leading instrument plating factory and looks as good as the day it came off the production line. The instrument is in a silver plate finish which is now in as new condition, with no pitting, no corrosion, no patches of wear, no scratches. The triggers/slides/valves all have a great action (as they should). Supplied in a non-Yamaha hard case (very similer to the Yamaha case). A new equivalent Yamaha will cost around £2000+, so be quick on this quality instrument, in as new condition and with a realistic Buy It Now or best Offer option. Features Monel pistons Monel pistons are resistant to corrosion and are an ideal choice for professional cornet pistons which must retain precise fit and smooth action over many years. Hand-lapped pistons and slides Hand-lapping pistons and slides ensures an absolutely perfect fit and seal between the pistons and casings or slide parts. Such a perfect fit helps to achieve smooth air flow and smooth action and improve the response and intonation of the instrument. Pressure-formed tubing Perfectly rounded tubing results in less turbulence and a smoother air flow, thus allowing for an excellent scale and reduced resistance. Laser-fused pluzuma welded bell A high-energy laser fuses the brass together for a virtually seamless bell whih allows continuous even vibrations. One-piece, drawn, gold brass leadpipe This type of leadpipe offers excellent intonation, response and proper resistance. Tuning slide brace The presence of one tuning slide brace improves response and tone. Nickel-silver inner slides Nickel-silver inner slides resist corrosion and improve tone. Heavy gauge brass The YCR-6335HS is made of heavy gauge brass for clear, strong projection. Bell The two-piece bell improves resonance and response. The flare and material are carefully selected to create a warm, beautiful tone. Leadpipe The leadpipe features a special taper for superb intonation.
