Background:
Brand: Martin
Model: Committee (Deluxe: due to the elaborate engraving)
SN: 1886xx Valves:
Valves are quick and responsive. No wear through the plating on the pistons. Each valve cap unscrews easily without force. The compression is excellent with each valve. Push the tuning slide in all the way and press the valve to hear a nice popping sound Martin Committee knew what it was doing when this horn was built. Tuning Slides:
The tuning slides all move easily. Finish Condition:
The engraving is crisp and clean without any signs of being buffed. Although I do have to mention that there some areas of wavy spots and lacquer drips on the valve section. Someone pointed this out to me. All and all, this horn looks great in the pictures as well as in person. As with all used musical instruments, there will be scratches, and signs of use/repair. Please look at the pictures and ask questions if you have any. Extras:
Comes with the original premium Martin case. Case does not have a musty smell and seems to have been well taken care of. The hinges work well and keep the integrity of the case. The clasps’ spring have lost their spring. Other than that, this case does its job of protecting the horn. General information:
