The violin is in superb condition, with no cracks or repairs to report, only some minor chips and wear to the varnish commensurate with age and use. The instrument is labelled 'M. COUTURIEUX'. If you search for violins with this label, you will find out-of-this-world retail prices of between £2000-£3000. This instrument is in superb condition and I feel is offered at a much more reasonable price.
