++++ ca. 1974 Ramirez 1a Classical Guitar - Spectacular Time Capsule Gem ++++
Estimated price for orientation: 5 500 $
Category: Classical Guitars
Class:
Description
The top is cedar and in addition to being aesthetically pleasing also has perfectly balanced tap tone. The rosewood in the sides and back is some of the nicest I have seen in a Ramirez. Lots of color and deep black striping make it a visual knockout. The sound of this beauty is powerful but balanced and warm as we would expect from a 1a but also very clear with perfect articulation between the treble -midrange and bass response...A quality we all seek in a classical guitar, yet seldom find...The top is stamped #7 on the underside so this was built by Alfonzo Contreras one of the Ramirez Workshops master builders in the 70s.The pictures speak volumes about the condition. I have never seen a classical this age from any maker in this superb condition. Structurally it is exactly where it should be. Crack free- top is flat -no bridge issues- neck is straight - neck joint is perfect -frets are perfect- tuners function perfect-String height and action are perfect- 4.5 mm height on bass E at the 12th fret with 1.75mm left on saddle ... The WOW! factor on this is stellar. This is an unusually clean- investment grade Ramirez 1a. A rare opportunity for the player/collector who wants something extraordinary in regards to both condition and sound for his collection and is looking for a zero issues guitar he can have complete confidence in. It comes with an upgraded hardshell travel case.
