This is a 2013 Gibson Memphis ES-335 Bass guitar. Aside from some slight tarnishing on the bridge and pickups, this thing is in pretty immaculate shape. It has never been played out and has lived in the case when not in use. The hollow body design and mini humbucking pickups give it a truly unique sound. Woody, open and articulate with a bit more mids than what you would find in a PBass or other solid body model though plenty of low end. This thing has a super wide tonal palate due to the 3way switch and volume and tone knobs for each pickup. I presently have it strung with flat wound strings which, to me balances great with the tone of the bass. If your looking forward to achieve a vintage sound influenced by such artists such as the Beatles, The Band, Tom Petty, and the like, then this bass is for you! It's also perfect for blues and especially jazz. It's not as responsive for slapping and funk styles or obviously thrash metal because of the style but who am I to judge really?
