Behold, a one of a kind! I had this 1945 TH&C completely overhauled and customized to my specifications by World Wide Sax, by the founder Steve "Sarge" Stransky (RIP). The pictues you see are the ones that Sarge took and sent to me before I recieved it. I had the horn chemically stripped of its original lacquer, and Sherry Huntly of Artisitc Engraving engraved the horn top to bottom, the entire body tube and neck along with each key. Sherry's work is impeccable and she actually used to work at the Selmer factory as an engraver. The inner bell was plated gold, and it has black goatskin pads with oversized sterling silver Res-Tech resonators. While it looks like a million bucks, it also PLAYS like a million bucks, and Sarge told me it was without a doubt, the best playing TH&C he had ever played. I had Sarge do similar restorations on my JK straight alto and Selmer SBA baritone. All three horns are featured still on the WWS website. These pix are there also, although the new owner of WWS, who never saw my horn personally, has mislabeled this as a 1950s horn. It is certainly a 1945.There is one flaw on the horn, which is not really noticeable unless you look for it. The original owner (this was from an estate sale) had his name professionally engraved just about the logo on the bell. Sarge attempted to fill it in before the plating was done. However the name is still slightly vissible under the plating. As I said, you wouldn't know it unless you were looking for it. The silver plating is 100% intact and is very well maintained, although these pictures were taken right after completion, and as such, are much brighter than the finish is now. The horn is still breathtaking in every way.The horn comes in a Protec XL case that has custom embroidery of Buescher 400 TH&C on the outside. What can I say about this horn that hasn't already been said by the thousands of people who have seen it and those who have heard it. Words like "breathtaking!" and "awesome!" are not uncommon. Those who have played it all wanted to buy it from me, and it really DOES play that well.  I certainly never thought I would ever turn loose of this one, hence I "pimped" it out! My wife told me to never sell it. She has heard me play hundreds of horns and liked this one the very best. It really is that good.It is truly sublime in every way. I have enjoyed it for more than 10 years, but the facts are that i don't play it nearly enough to justify keeping it when home repairs and upgrades call. I am a sax collector, appraiser, and player and played professionally for many years. I have been a member of the SOTW for many years as "Randall" and you can go there to read, if you don't know about this horn already.I will cork and secure all keys down before shipping, and have it professionally packaged and shipped. I require you pay for shipping and insurance that will be determined at the auctions end. I will NOT ship until payment has been made in full. This ain't cheap, and I will not sell cheap....so the price is what it is. I make no apologies. Make it yours and you won't regret it.The shipping information listed on the auction is NOT correct, despite many attempts to change it. If the size of the package is within the USPS guideline limits when packed, I will send the horn via USPS priority mail and I expect the cost, plus shipping, boxing and packing materials and insurance to be in the neighborhood of $80.00 to the continental USA. If it goes over that for the CONTINENTAL USA, I will eat the costs. If the buyer is in Alaska or Hawaii, you will bear full costs of shipping and insurance. If I am forced to send it via UPS or Fedex due to the size of the box, the same terms apply.
