Make someone's Christmas special this year !!! And check out what other vintage Chet Atkins models are selling for when you compare prices. My 1967 Gretsch Chet Atkins Tennessean in GREAT condition is for sell. I bought this guitar around 30 years ago on a trip to England and it's just gotten better looking each year. I hate to sell it however the arthritis in my wrists has made playing difficult. It features Hi Lo Tron pickups neck and bridge -- one of the original PUPS had came apart when I bought it so I sent them both to Seymour Duncan's shop who re-round them to stock configuration with couple extra winds on the bridge PUP (I forgot what that cost). It has a bright ringing tone .. good clarity and pop.The original tuners had been replaced .. however I had them professionally replaced with the original Van Ghent models ($225 for that). The instrument has seen no damage or repairs .. there is a little plastic rot on the neck heel plate which is pretty typical for vintage Gretsches. There is also a missing piece of body binding about 1/2 inch in length on the lower bout .. I haven't bothered to correct this as the binding seems pretty stable at this point. It comes with a vintage Gretsch case .. it is not the original one but for a little deeper Gretsch .. maybe for an Anniversity model or ??? In any case it is very sturdy and travels well. Please contact me if you have any questions ....Ships only to the USA .. shipping costs will be about $80 however I will ship it for free if my asking price is meet.I am currently on vacation in Northwestern Mass and will ship it from zip code 01337 Bernardston, MA
