This guitar is a truly unique and fantastic instrument from the Fender Custom Shop. This is a 1956 Heavy Relic with a roasted body and neck in 2-tone burst. The heat treatment applied to the body and neck is done to remove as much moisture as possible from the wood, simulating what happens with age and providing stability. Not only does this make for a super lightweight guitar, at 6.50 lbs., but it also makes it sound and feel like a vintage instrument.The appointments are all straight out of 1956, with a heavy relic 2-Tone Sunburst finish, a vintage-style six-screw tremolo, and the classic Strat controls. The more-than-played-in feel combines with the roasting to provide one of the best Strat experiences I've ever had! The handwound Strat pickups are based on models from the 60's for a bit more punch and extra sparkle, but rest assured these pickups deliver gobs of pure Strat tone! Instrument comes with all you see in the photos.
