This is a no nonsense electric guitar that delivers a professional instrument at a great price. Washburn have been producing instruments since the late 1800s. It is fair to say this Chicago based company know a thing or two about building guitars! The Washburn Parallaxe PX-SOLAR170C comes with an alder body and a set maple neck. An ebony fretboard features 24 frets. The body has a double cutaway design. The cutaways have been sculpted out for even better access and comfort. As this is an Ola Englund signature model this 7 string includes a special inlay at the12th fret. Great quality hardware including Grover machine heads and Duncan Solar Humbuckers. Washburn have fitted some excellent hardware to this guitar. A set of Grover 18:1 machine heads keep things nice and stable. At the other end you get high quality fixed bridge. This is string through body for added sustain. Single volume and tone knobs work in conjunction with a 5 way switch. The switching system allows a great number of different sounds. It makes the Washburn Solar 170C pretty versatile. It also includes a Buzz Feiten tuning system.
