Emu Emuator II Expanded version Two Disk Drives -Working- As is
Estimated price for orientation: 1 600 $
Category: Samplers and Sequencers
Class:
Description Brand: EMU Model: Emulator II MPN: Does Not Apply UPC: Does not apply
This Emu Emulator II turns on and reads disk perfectly, however the LED display is a little faded but still legible. It does NOT include the disk library so I am unsure if sound is coming out. All buttons are triggering correctly except for the Number pad, It most likely needs to be cleaned with a contact cleaner. Besides that everything powers on normally and I will include two blank floppy disks. The farthest left key is a little sticky but I don't think it is damaged might just need to be cleaned and re-positioned. Selling As is. Please feel free to email with questions. Comes with a power cord & Sold as is. Excellent condition all stock with second floppy drive. ($650 option)Classic early eighties sampler/workstation synthesizer. It's a sampler that sounds like an analog synth because it has analog filters! It samples at a low 8-bits (up to 17.6 seconds) so it's got that lo-fi sound which is great for some types of electronic music. Especially nice is its ability to create warm analog-ish pads and sounds. It uses those giant 5" floppy disks for storage. Also on-board is a useful 8-track sequencer. The Emulator II had many new features for its time. MIDI, SMPTE and computer control. Editing samples includes truncating, manual/auto looping, reverse, velocity switch cross-fading and splicing samples together. A great feature is the 24 dB/oct analog 4-pole low pass filter. There are eight separate LFO's and eight extra individual outputs for each voice. Make no mistake, the Emulator II was a long standing professional sampler of the mid-eighties for musicians and sound designers.
