Description
Body Type: Classical Dexterity: Right-Handed
Country/Region of Manufacture: United States

This Gibson C-6 Classical acoustic guitar was made in the USA. From my research, it was made in either 1959 or 1960. This is a very high quality vintage classical guitar. The top is solid spruce, the fingerboard is ebony, and the back and sides are Brazilian rosewood. The neck is straight and the action is low and comfortable. It was just to the luthier and had the following work done: New bridge and saddle (the original was split) Complete refret Dryness cracks cleated Installed new strings and adjusted action
The guitar has a nice low action and plays very well. The back of the neck is smooth with no dents, cracks, or chips. Sounds great, like a true vintage instrument from a quality builder. It is vintage and has its share of wear, however. There was a large dryness crack on the front (see photo) - this was cleated but is clearly visible. There was one dryness crack on the back (see photo), also glued and less noticeable. There are wear marks on the front above, below, and around the soundhole (see photos). There are a few areas with wear marks in the finish on the back (photo). The tuners are original and no other modifications have been done (no pickup, no strap buttons, etc.). The tortoiseshell binding is intact and tight. I feel the price reasonably reflects the condition of this vintage Gibson guitar.
The guitar comes with an original hard shell guitar case with key, in good shape. Read my feedback and bid with confidence. I pack well and ship fast.
