Sealos handmade grenadilla wood piccolo with silver-plated keys and custom contoured headjoint that conveys an uncommonly warm tone, serial #028. This extremely rare and high quality piccolo is a collector’s item as very few were made (under 100 I believe). Famed Northern California flutemaker, George Koregelos, and Roy Seaman, piccolo maker, collaborated to develop high-quality custom instruments under their private label "Sealos" (Seaman + Koregelos). This piccolo was originally distributed by the House of Woodwinds in Oakland, California, late 1980s. I am the original and sole owner of the instrument. Roy Seaman grenadilla wood piccolos have been the preferred choice of discerning players worldwide for over 30 years. Superbly handcrafted to produce the warm, rich sound that blends so beautifully with other acoustic instruments, they have long been recognized for their outstanding craftsmanship and performance. A new granadilla piccolo made by Roy Seaman can retail for over $5,000. This one-of-a-kind piccolo comes with its original case. It is in excellent condition although the pads need some attention since it has been sitting unused for a number of years.
