This an EXTREMELY RARE, QUARTERSAWN, BLACK GABON EBONY(diospyros crassiflora) back and side set for building an acoustic guitar. This is a true ebony species that is one of the rarest, most beautiful woods on Earth!It is very rare to source this fine wood in sizes large enough for 2 piece guitar backs.Excellent tonal qualities, imparting a well balanced, articulate, bright tone.Fine grained, smooth textured, lustrous exotic wood! Very nice ringing taptone. Works and bends very nicely. The measurements are as follows: back boards- 8 1/2" x 21 1/2" x .130+" thick. The sides- 5" x 32 1/2" x .130+"All of my guitar sets are properly dried and seasoned and ready for sanding. Bid with Confidence!
