DESCRIPTION - Akai S6000 Studio For sale is a VERY lightly used Akai S6000 Studio in perfect working order. The is in extraordinary, “mint” cosmetic condition with virtually no rack wear and very limited, studio-only use. About the S6000 The S6000 is Akai’s ultimate hardware-based sampler and the final iteration of their legendary “S” series. It includes an innovative removable faceplate, unique to the S6000, that allows you to physically place all sampler controls in any location in your studio. Unlike so many other GUI’s, computer or hardware-based, the S6000 GUI is extremely well thought out and intuitive, very easy to learn and navigate. About the S6000 Studio for Sale The “Studio” version for sale is FULLY LOADED. It includes: · 256MB RAM, expanded from the standard 8MB · 128 voice polyphony · the EB20 4-channel effects board NOTE - this is a stunning effects unit, completely head and shoulders above the stock “throw-ins” that manufacturers passively included in their boxes throughout the 1990’s and 2000’s · 2 IN / 16 OUT ADAT interface card · USB card for computer-based management of the S6000 via Akai’s AK-SYS software Seller’s Additional Notes About the S6000 Studio Add iconic old school vibe to your work environment with this outboard hardware-based sampler. This is a beautiful sampler, manufactured before Akai re-branded away from their classic putty-colored box and classic red hi-fi logo. Warm sonic character lacking in modern DAW-based samplers. The subtractive elements (filters, LFOs, EGs) sound truly remarkable, providing a deeply satisfying experience familiar to anyone who’s owned and programmed analog synthesizers of the 1980’s. A classic studio tool with highly practical application for the modern DAW-based studio. Expand the personality of your source sounds while freeing up native DSP for increased track count or other essential DSP-intensive tasks.Included with the S6000Includes original manual and box / packing materials; original power cable; original short serial cable for routing the faceplate; original 3.5” floppy containing the sampler OS; original included CD-ROM sample libraries (2x). I’m also including an additional 10’ serial cable for routing the faceplate, and an 8-foot, 8-channel Hosa analog ¼” – ¼” snake.
