Here’s a beautiful 1967 vintage Conn Connquest trumpet outfit complete with mouthpiece and Conn deluxe hardshell case. This horn is in very nice used condition and is 100% complete, and all ready to play right out of the case. The shiny lacquered brass finish is approx. 95% intact and holds a beautiful shine. There are some small scratches and blemishes on the finish to be expected of a vintage horn but the trumpet looks great overall. This Conn is mainly brass but has fancy nickel trim. The Conn Connquest trumpet was designed to be high quality advanced model trumpet and this trumpet has the wide wrap design like the Conn Connstellation model. Serial number is K89XXX, indicating it was built in 1967 when Conn was producing some world class horns. Receiver is stamped "CONNQUEST" and the bell is engraved "CONN U.S.A." with the 3 marching musicians and a cascade of shooting stars also engraved on the bell. This trumpet has great smooth quick valves - Conn makes some of the best valves in the business and these valves are as smooth as butter! Valve plating is nicely intact. All slides move freely and have just been lubricated. Conn has been a well respected horn builder for over 100 years. This trumpet has been used, so there are some small shallow dents and little dings in the horn but no major dents that would effect the playability or function. This trumpet also features an adjustable 3rd slide ring, traditional lever style waterkeys, and mother-of-pearl capped finger buttons. This Conn Connquest USA has been recently play tested and inspected and is all ready to be played and enjoyed. It plays very well as you would expect from a Conn. It's got a nice open blow and plays an even scale. Tone quality is really quite nice on these vintage Conns. This one comes with a very nice hardshell deluxe Conn case, which has working latches, a double mouthpiece slot, the metal "CONN" emblem plate, soft plush-lining, a sturdy handle, and some extra storage room for accessories. The case is in great shape and provides excellent protection for the horn. You also get a sterilized mouthpiece so you can start playing instantly. This Conn Connquest is an ideal and highly recommended vintage trumpet, and it's ready to be played right out of the case. Conn is a trusted name for quality musical instruments and the Connquest Model was certainly a successful design that lives up to its reputation.
