I bought this drum in 1985 from the owner of The London Drum Centre. It was already stripped back to its wood finish (as was the trend at that time!) so I never knew what the original finish/covering was. I had it recovered two years ago to match my other Black Nitron Gretsch Drums. Rail mount is in place but without the extension fitting, just the rail part (I always mounted the Tom on a stand, not the BD). The spurs are modern reproduction parts. The drum has been plugged from the fitting of a retro cymbal arm and a centre mount Tom holder. Both these modifications and subsequent professional filling/repairs were done before I purchased the drum. The drum is advertised elsewhere so the auction could end early. More pictures available upon request.
