This Bacon Banjo Company banjo mandolin appears to be all original and barely played. We find no areas of play wear at all, but we do find minor surface scratches on the back of the resonator, neck and the tip of the peghead. The wear we see is appropriate to age and not abuse. Body and resonator wood appears to be mahogany but we are unsure of the fret board, possibly an ebonized fruitwood? See photos for greater details. There is a vintage hard case supplied, but it is not original to the piece. It is a banjo case that is probably from the same era and is still sturdy, but not a looker.More Details we can supply you:S/N # 22277, placing the manufacture date in 1927Style CResonance & Amplifying Chamber has a patent date of Nov 30, 1926Joe B Rogers, Jr Calf Skin Head8 Stringsthe Bacon logo is inlaidInlaid pearl dots on fretTop to bottom the instrument measures 2ftSmall dent in the wood on the 8th fret, should not affect play, cosmetic onlyBestone armrestIf we have missed any important details or if you have a question, we are always happy to answer!!Buyer to pay only actual shipping and handling via USPS Priority, insurance included. Thanks for looking!Payment terms: Payment is expected within 3 days.
