What makes this bass special: A very unique model in that the back & sides are made of rosewood rather than the more common maple you typically find on these violin basses. Aside from that, the bass has all the hallmarks of Hofner's flagship bass. Professionally set up & ready for action straight out of the case!Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition - very clean & like new with only some mild surface scratches.Neck: Chunky maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Open-back tuners with pearloid buttons in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width with zero fret; 30" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.Body: Violin-shaped hollow body with 4-ply bound top & back. Solid spruce top with rosewood back & sides. Trapeze tailpiece with ebony bridge. Tortoise plexi pickguard & gold hardware. Bass weighs 4 lbs 15.4 oz.Pickups: Hofner "staple" pickups with black bezels. Dual volume controls with "tea cup" knobs; Rhythm/Solo, Bass & Treble switches. All electronics are in perfect working condition.Case: Original hardshell case included.
