1978 Rickenbacker 4001 Bass (Super Clean, & Mean) Original Hardshell Case.
Estimated price for orientation: 2 105 $
Category: Rickenbacker 400
Class:
Description Brand: Rickenbacker Dexterity: Right-Handed Type: Electric Bass Country/Region of Manufacture: United States Model: 4001 JG
1978 Rickenbacker 4001 Jetglo Bass. Fresh strings and professionally setup by the guitar guy, Paul Unkert, in Toms River, NJ. This bass is for sale, but I will consider trading it for a 1970s music man stingray or sabre bass. This bass also comes with the original hardshell case, which is in excellent condition. Now about the bass: This BASS has a nice fat tone that ranges from a warm well defined tone to a growling tone. Bass plays like a dream, action is super low, the ric-o-sound is 110% functioning and intact. Whether you choose to display this bass, play it out live, record in the studio, or if you just wanna play it at home, this bass is the real deal! Unlike many bass guitars from this time frame, this Rickenbacker is not missing anything. It truly is a great representation of its place in time. These basses were played and liked by many in the professional music industry: Cliff Burton, Mark Anthony, Geezer Butler, John Entwistle, Mark Evans, Rick James, Steve Howe, Geddy Lee, Chris Squire and many more. Are you looking for a certain tone or something that really shines through, then this is bass for you. If you're into Funk or slapping and popping, then this bass has ridiculous tone & sound! If you want to play heavier and more melodic riffs, this bass will happily growl and chug along. There is not one issue with this bass in regards to its playing, maintenance, action, truss rod, pickups, switches, inputs etc. Binding is in great shape too. Please feel free to ask any and questions that you might have. It's missing a foil label on the "Treble Tone" knob. There is a replacement knob in the case. Minor scratches on the head stock and back of the bass from normal playing over decades of play & other minor dings present. This bass is legit one of the best of its time. Once it's paid for, this bass will ship without delay to ensure that you get to enjoy it as soon as possible.
