1966 Gibson EB-2 to EB-2D Bass Sunburst!
~~Comes in Hardshell Case!~~ You are bidding on a super nice 1966 vintage Gibson EB-2D bass guitar in the original Sunburst finish! This is an interesting bass that must have been converted from EB-2 to EB-2D somewhere in its early life as all knobs and bridge pickup are all original Gibson 60s vintage parts.It is essentially a bass version of the famed ES-335 guitar, known for a deep, resonant tone and a tendency to feed back at high volume which can be very cool.This bass is in GREAT vintage cosmetic condition!
Showing some honest play wear, and the usual finish checking patina.The neck is perfect and has a comfortable rounded profile. Action is nice. Original frets are in excellent shape as well and still have lots of life left. If you want that huge BOTTOM END super fat upright sound ~~ this is the bass for you! It has a very unique, woody, dark tone. It has more bottom end than you can handle! This bass sounds wonderful whether plugged straight into a board or miked through the amp....
