I sadly have decided to part with my beloved Kalison CC. I'm a trumpet player that has an unhealthy love for tuba that needs to reduce the amount of stuff in my life and pay some bills. Plus I'm on the road all the time for work now and never get time with her.  Maybe we'll reunite some day....Daryl Smith 4/4 model (it’s a big 4/4)—big sound for a horn of its size 0.778” bore (20mm) 4 pistons, 1 rotor 18.7” bell.   Horn in decent condition:
Has a fair amount of dents, but what multiple-owner tuba doesn't (did you ever see the CSO's York before the overhaul?!?). Doesn't bother me a bit because sounds is most important.
Just had some work done to smooth out bell dents and all slides are functional.  I was thinking about getting that worst slide dent out, but the tech said it wasn't worth it in his opinion (that says something when he stands to make some decent money for it).  It never bothered me, but I figure it would help to win some of you over.  So if you care, you can certainly have it out.Missing thumb ring, but it was that way when I bought it in 2009.Comes with a Tuba Exchange Reunion Blues soft case. Originally the valve section was removable through six screws, but was soldered in place via the main four screws of valve section—probably because of rattling while playing.  Thought of asking $5,000 – because that's what it's worth to me – but after seeing a used one on The Tuba Exchange for $4,500 (which has since sold), I'm hoping to get $4,000 for it.  New they are a little over $7,000 now – more thanks to the rise in the Dollar to the Euro – although it they were around $8,000 when I got this one.  Shame they are so hard to find outside of Europe. As for shipping this beast, FedEx estimated it would cost around $200-300 to pack and ship with insurance, dependent upon your location.  Expect it to be around this.  I’m listing it with a $250 flat rate, but will adjust the shipping cost once it ships (either through a refund or request for addition funds with PayPal).  Will ship anywhere, but you are responsible for whatever it ends up costing.  I'll listing international shipping at $500, but it could be more or less depending on where you are. If you are near, or find yourself near Missoula, Montana, you are welcome to try it out.  I have a couple people interested locally, but one needs to sell a horn first and another won’t have the money until later in January.  One of my friends didn’t know he was looking for a new tuba until he played this one.  I would set a reserve but eBay charges a ridiculous 4% fee (plus the 10% they are gonna take, plus whatever the !@#$ they'll take from the PayPal transaction).  I'm putting a $4,000 Buy-it-Now, but it will likely disappear after a few bids.  I'm okay with ending it early and going off eBay to save us both money.  But I need the money, so F-it, I'm starting it off at $1!  It’s a bit more tarnished since I took the photos, but I’m going to try to polish her up for ya.   Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
