Fender Jazzmaster V. Rare 1986 E-Serial Olympic White Fuji-Gen BuiltHere is a very rare Fender Fuji-Gen built Jazzmaster. This was from the very first year Fender Japan built Jazzmasters (1986). It was long before the current Jazzmaster revival so very few were ever made. As it was built for Fender at FujiGen the build quality is second to none, easily on par with anything you’d find today coming out of the U.S and miles ahead of anything Mexican. A few notable differences between these early built Jazzies and the later MIJ/CIJs are that the bodies were ever so slightly thicker, better patterns on the tort pickguards, Fender stamped neckplates, larger sized pots in the lead circuit and the necks were a tiny bit thicker. This old Japanese warrior has some real vintage Mojo going on, all the metal especially the tuners and bridge have a lovely dull grey patina over it. All the white plastic has yellowed, the kind of yellowing you just cant fake. And the Oly white has turned a vintage cream colour. The are plenty of little dings and scratches but nothing horrendous with no chunks of paint cracked off or anything like that. Obviously no repairs, just good honest relicing. A couple of shallow divets in the neck etc. The neck is dead straight, truss rod is working fine and there is a bit of light wear in the frets as you'd expect, but plenty of life left in them. This thing is a dream to play and has the classic looks of a true vintage aged Jazzmaster. A very cool guitar. Complete with trem arm and gig-bag.
