Rare Sonor Lite Vintage Snare Drum in Scandinavian Birch. First introduced in 1983, Sonor Lite has got to be one of the best looking and sounding ranges that Sonor has ever produced. In an era when many other manufacturers were only producing very thick, heavy shells, these magnificent, relatively thin Scandinavian birch shells imparted great beauty as well as fantastic tone. Hence they are highly sought after today. This rare snare is 14 x 7.25 inches, with a 12-ply, 7mm shell. It is in near showroom condition, and would suit the discerning collector, with the only evidence of age being very minor surface pitting on some parts of the snare mechanism (see pics) which seems to be typical of Sonor.NOTE: Snare is also advertised locally together with full Sonor Lite kit. I am reluctant to ship the kit internationally, but if you are interested please contact me.
