I thought I would give someone a chance to own one of the originals........ serial no.1524
I am sure that you know that this is the ultimate tool for recording drums.... especially in the analogue domain. It works as expected, and is in good condition.
It had not been used or turned on for the last 33 years.
Non working indicator bulbs have been replaced, which always required cutting the plastic surrounds inside, as the originals have not been available for a long time.. The Input and Output large (stereo) controls produce some crackle when adjusted (in some places, so it is the carbon tracks that are imperfect). I have not changed them. Those controls are never used in a modern studio situation and I have left it "original".
If you buy, and wish to have some replacements in stock before it arrives... they are both 47K logB, and the input control needs a 4cm shaft. It is a tight fit, but modern plastic replacements should be small enough. It has been soak tested for a day, then repeatedly turned off and on for an hour, and then soaked for 5 days. There is no evidence that any capacitors are suffering or failing.
The manufacturer had an excellent reputation for using the best components. Power lead not supplied. Standard IEC required.
