Nevertheless, we wish explicitly to inform potential bidders of our commitment to customer satisfaction. We are located in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada and are happy to ship worldwide. We have been shipping rare books and ephemera internationally since our second-hand bookstore was founded, nearly 40 years ago. We pack securely. Thus, if you purchase a post card or brochure, it will be packed as we pack books: with stiff cardboard so as not to bend or be in any way damaged in transit. We ship immediately upon receipt of payment. Thus, if you pay for an item Wednesday evening, it will be posted Thursday morning. Canada Post in Wolfville does not operate on Saturday or Sunday, thus if you pay for an item Friday through Sunday it will be mailed Monday. International bidders ~ ESPECIALLY USA CUSTOMERS ~ please note that your item is coming from Canada, therefore it may be held by your country’s Customs for processing. Any charges and delays incurred thereby are the customer’s responsibility. The shipping cost stated in our listing is for ordinary postage. Often, expedited surface-post is the only economical way to send a heavy book. We try to have the cost stated in our auction equal to the actual cost. Once it is shipped, if you overpaid by more than a couple dollars we will refund the extra you paid. More often than not we are paying more for shipping than the cost stated. We are happy to quote express options, at cost. If the item has ended and you would like it sent express, ask us for an invoice specifying your preferred manner of shipping. Do not pay first and demand faster shipping later as your item already will have been shipped. Please remember: your item is coming from Canada, and unless you have paid for express shipping it will take a few weeks to arrive; overseas can take a few months by surface post. Thank you for taking the time to peruse our auctions.
