Offered here for sale is an Akai M1000 keyboard formerly owned and played by Depeche Mode's lyricist and keyboardist Martin Gore. It was used on several tours in the early to mid-nineties before being sold off as part of the charity auction 'Hits under the Hammer' at Southerby's in 1996. Gore has signed and inscribed the instrument on the right-hand side with lyrics from 'Enjoy the Silence'. The device still has a number of their tracks programmed in. We are Rock 'N' Roll Rescue, an independent music charity shop based in Camden. Founded by Knox Carnochan of the Vibrators/Fallen Angels/many other groups and staffed by volunteers of all backgrounds the shop deals in clothing, rare vinyl, CDs, guitars, including customs done by our resident craftsman Philippe Dubreuille, record decks and amps custom 'Yes! Future!' T-shirts and other eccentric music paraphernalia. All profits going to charities including the Crossroads Women Centre, the Mayhew Animal Home, the Trussell Trust and other local foodbanks.
