Greetings! You’re bidding on the classic Roland TR-707 Rhythm Composer, originally released in 1984.This particular TR-707 has been meticulously cleaned and serviced by a local technician using genuine Roland parts; and, unless you've had a sealed one in your closet for the last 30+ years, you’ll be hard-pressed to find one in better condition. You know how dirty and crackly the controls and jacks can get after 30+ years. You'll find that all potentiometers, buttons, and jacks have been thoroughly cleaned and tested. The barrel inside the DC power jack had become loose (as tends to happen with a 30+ year old machine), so it was replaced with a new DC jack ordered from Roland (see image). As the barrel in this new jack is larger and more robust than the old one, the power adapter was also replaced. I am including the original Roland power adapter as well as the replacement, just in case—like myself—you’re a bit on the OCD side and would like to hang onto it for reference (see image).Usually, with these older machines, the battery contacts get corroded and the battery compartment cover gets lost. Fear not; these battery contacts are as clean as a whistle, and the cover is right where it should be (see image). This TR-707 has been cleaned inside and out, all functions have been tested, and all tests passed. Even the LCD screen is clear and sparkly (see image). I have included a printed and bound PDF copy of the owner’s manual as well as the MIDI implementation chart (see image). It has been very carefully packed by someone who cares about such things, and it very much wants to go to the home studio of someone who cares equally about such things. The images should illustrate its excellent condition nicely, but if you have further questions, please ask. Thanks for your interest!
