Description

Early 60's Ampex MX-35 Mic/Line Mixer!! Recently Serviced & Sounds Fantastic Here is an opportunity to own an Ampex MX-35 in excellent, plug and play condition.  It was recently serviced a few months ago by our tech with 30+ years experience, who replaced all caps, cleaned and lubricated all switches, pots, calibrated levels and replaced one tube (12AU7).  Racked and used sparingly for the last couple of months in a smoke free recording facility.  No issues whatsoever.  There is some black electrical tape on 2 of the buttons (see pic). Includes original power cord. The Ampex MX-35 made its debut in 1963 and has found its way onto countless hit records since.  It has four microphone inputs with two outputs, two of the four microphone inputs can be switched to line inputs as well. This is such a versatile piece, the inputs can be assigned to left right or center so you basically can have two completely separate microphone preamps or you can have four microphones mixed to a stereo output. You can also use the line inputs to run a mix through to warm it up. These were used extensively in the 60's on many of the Detroit era Motown recordings, they sound big, fat, and full of punch. These are unbeatable for drums, guitars any type of vocal, they are great to mix through to warm up your Protools mixes.  It will come well packed (100% feedback) and shipped via UPS Ground anywhere in the lower 48.
