Somewhat rare flat black. Better than the glossy black which shows every fingerprint!Great shape, normal surface wear, no noticeable scratches, dings, dents or damage. Plays like a dream. There are a few reversible upgrades and bonuses:• The guitar currently has TV Jones' “T-ARMOND” pickups installed which sound fantastic! These are their top-of-the-line pups. They have a more vintage sound compared to the heavy mid-focus of the stock pickups.• Comes with classy-looking black pickguard with sparkle edge installed. Also included is the original silver pickguard with the "Hot rod" logo and a third silver pickguard with sparkle edge!• The original bridge was very light in color and didn't match the aesthetic of the guitar. I purchased a darker rosewood replacement, as well as an upgraded Tune-o-matic bridge. Both the original pieces are included as well.• I replaced the strap buttons, because as many know the Gretsch buttons aren't totally reliable, and make putting the strap on and off somewhat difficult. However, the originals are included as well.Comes with original hardshell case and all paperwork.Thanks!
