For sale here is one of the most collectable R9 ever made, one of the first 200 that Tom Murphy painted at the origins of the Historic Division at Gibson. This is "Murphy Painted", not aged...The burst on this guitar is absolutely amazing as you can see in the pictures. This guitar was built in October '94 (just a month before Tom Murphy left Gibson) and it was one of the orders from Yamano, the legendary store in Japan that usually got the best guitars. The neck is on the chunkier side but still a '59 (no baseball bat), with a beautiful fretboard. The guitar is in excellent condition with very little fret wear and some light buckle rash on the back (see pictures). It has a couple of minor dings in the back. Includes the original brown Gibson case (with the pink interior) with some rust in the metal parts but in otherwise fantastic condition. It includes also the tags, Yamano tag and Gibson cloth. There is no COA as they were not issued back then. Ships perfectly packed and fully insured.Year: 1994
