Very rare (one-off custom colour?) Hofner 173, in a never-seen-before olive-drab-with golden-flakes-color, seems to be original (no clues about a refin on the body), As you can see the neck wears two colours (same shiny color than the body for the frets wearing dots, another darker tint for the other )Electronics have been restored with tested parts (including a very rare 4 ways-rotating-contactor), the original pots that were on the guitar were stamped 212 (21th week of 1962), and the new-installed ones are stamped 272 (27th week of 1962). The original jack has been installed on the guitar (not the switchcraft that you can see on the picture).Two humbuckers (neck and middle) have been rewired by a specialist, you will receive the former copper-string in the case. they show 6.1 , 5.6 ans 6.2 Ko (from neck to bridge)There's a hole on the scratchplate under the neck pickup, but i decided to keep the original sctratchplate an dnot to change it for a modern reissue.The Hofner logo on the head has been replaced by a hand-drawed paint logo.The headtuners are not original (but they provide a very long sustain, cool). I will ship in the USA and Canada, but not to Asia , please don't bid. the guitar comes with a brand-new modern hardcase.
