You're viewing a 2004 Epiphone Elitest 1965 Casino in excellent condition, with no cracks, breaks, or repairs and a straight neck (no twisting or bowing). The guitar has a beautiful blonde finish, just like John Lennon's. The blonde exudes a cool vibe perfect not just for classic rock, but also jazz, country, blues, rockabilly or alternative and the Gibson USA P90s deliver chimey, piano-like clean tones and throaty distortion that excels at all of these forms of music. Made at the same factory in Terrada, Japan where the high-end Pro series Gretsches are also made. The guitar has been played, so it has 5-6 small indentations that I can count (I can't really call them scratches and dings), most of which are on the back of the body, one pencil-lead sized ding on the neck and another near the jack, but none of them go to through the finish. Overall, a great guitar with excellent playability and sound and just enough oxidation starting on the chrome pickup covers (they are starting to look like the covers on my '66 ES-330) and enough small nicks and dings (not many, like I said, about 5-6), but just enough that when combined with the aging on the metal parts are really starting to give it the mojo of an actual '65 Casino. However, I have some Gibson metal cleaning solution, so if the winning bidder wants, I can shine up the covers, but they really are starting to get a cool vintage look. It almost looks like the last owner also might have had a set of vintage style Klusons on it, but I can't tell for sure (I don;t see any extra screw holes - none are visible, so I can't tell definitively). I have an old set of nickel Kluson style tuners that came on a guitar I recently purchased. If the winning bidder wants, them, I'll include them in the auction, in the event he or she prefers vintage-style tuners. The Grover Rotomatics on the guitar and all the guitar's other hardware are 100% original. All in all, a beautiful guitar in perfect functional condition and excellent cosmetic condition, with just enough mojo starting to happen to give this guitar a great vintagey vibe. The original plush purple-line Epiphone Elitest case has enough scuffs on the outside that you can tell the last owner loved this guitar and played it regularly (a testament to this instrument), but there are no tears in the tolex and all the latches and hinges work perfectly. I checked Sweetwater recently and these are now selling for $2200 and they're on backorder everywhere else! Get one with vintage vibe that you're not afraid to play for $1000 less! Please ask any questions and thanks for looking.
