Up for sale is a solid silver Ted Klum Versitone Handcrafted alto saxophone mouthpiece. This mouthpiece was originally made as with a .090 tip opening. I recently had Ted reduce the tip opening to .080 or size 7 tip opening.This is a phenomenally playing mouthpiece. The sound this piece produces can be closely compared to that of an original Meyer Bros. New York model mouthpiece. It produces a sound full of overtones with that extra bit of sparkle to it from the solid silver. The solid silver is a heavier mass than brass and thus creates a denser piece.
