Will be shipped with a fresh set of Elixir strings (loosened for potential altitude changes, of course)The guitar is in outstanding condition and has had just enough years to 'open up'. I have babied it more than my actual children. I bought it brand new in 2008 for $2800 and it's stayed in a case with a humidifier when not in use (personal at-home use and studio sessions - never toured). I've just recently had it looked over, polished, and fret maintenanced by a luthier.I once received an audible 'WOW' from a sound technician at one of the top 10 recording studios in the country after sound checking this guitar.Throw any style at this thing and you'll be in heaven. You can strum the bejesus out of it and it will not break up. Super deep piano lows and mix-cutting crystal clear highs. The substantiveness of the guitar lends itself well to alternative tunings as well.I will also say that the Expression System electronics on this guitar are astounding. I won't even attempt to describe how good it is. It's just good. Believe me. Sounds like an actual mic'd acoustic.There are a few little nicks which I've attempted to capture in the photos (one on the back of the neck and one near the border of the guitar's top.The inlays on the neck and around the sound hole are real abalone.I am parting with this 815 because my lifestyle does not require a guitar of this caliber anymore. It's bittersweet, but it'd break my heart to watch this instrument sit unplayed in it's case.
