FROM THE MANUAL: The Lectrosonics UT VariMic handheld transmitter is designed for use with Lectrosonics Digital Hybrid wireless receivers, as well as Lectrosonics 200 Series, 100 Series and IFB analog receivers. The VariMic is available in omni-directional, cardioid or supercardioid polar patterns.
The VariMic preamplifier provides user control over tone and attenuation, enabling custom control over frequency response and input level. The capsule is mounted on a specialized suspension that protects the element against intense shock while suppressing noise. With no shortage of features the VariMic handheld is designed to provide optimum results in the field or in-doors.
The cardioid polar pattern provides sufficient off-axis suppression and feedback control while providing accurate frequency response.Please see photos!
