Up for auction is a Early 1970's Gibson Sunburst Les Paul w/ case.  This guitar was purchased by the previous owner 35 years ago from a gentleman in Long Beach, CA who said it belonged to Jimmy Page (see letter). Many years later the owner had the opportunity to speak with Jimmy Page in person, who said this was very possibly one of his guitars from the early days on their West Coast tours. He said that he bought and traded many Les Pauls around this area during this time period.  Play wear on the guitar such as buckle and edge wear seems consistent with others in his collection (see pics). Also, this one is remarkably similar to other undocumented Les Pauls he played during this era , with a strong resemblance to the type of bursts he favored throughout his career. This guitar has no breaks, cracks, or repairs and it's in quite nice shape for it's age (over 40 yrs), with a very bright original 3 tone burst and added humbuckers. This has been in my collection for many years. This is a rare item, as Jimmy Page has famously never sold or gotten rid of any of his guitars, and there are no others currently for sale. To own a vintage burst Les Paul like this is truly a "once in a lifetime" opportunity.  This comes with a heavy duty flight case (no stencils), and original signed letter from the previous owner detailing the above. Selling this as is, with all sales final. Please note: I am providing all the documentation I have, and am selling it completely as is, again with all sales final.
