1980 Gold Star G-12W - Made in Japan
Maple neck with rosewood center, maple resonator with w/b/w dual concentric rings, ebony fretboard with Wreath-style inlay, fiddle-cut peghead, tube and plate flange, full thickness maple rim, 40-hole raised head (archtop) tone ring, heavy-duty (adjustable) Presto-style tailpiece, all nickel plated hardware, 5th string capo spikes installed. Currently set-up with a 5-Star (Ludwig) head and Sosebee maple/ebony bridge. Has very minor fret wear. Action is set at 7/64" at the 12th fret (Gibson spec). A brand new hard shell case is included.If you crave the Stanley-style bluegrass tone, this banjo will deliver! No disappointments. It can also be set-up on the loose side, and you get that great 4th string growl. This is a very versatile instrument. More pics available upon request.Insured shipping is $55 in the lower 48 states.
