What makes this guitar special: Just recently acquired from the second owner who purchased the guitar back in '66. A smooth player with classic good looks & dynamite tone, this beauty is a sure fire winner with any collector or vintage aficionado.
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused, with typical/normal play wear for a 50 year old guitar. Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some mild finish wear. Overall the guitar looks wonderful.Neck: Nicely rounded, B-shape maple neck with beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Professionally refretted some time ago with similar size frets as the originals. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear & tons of life in them. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 24" scale length. The truss rod is pretty much maxed out & the neck has a slight bow in it up near the 12th fret, but the guitar is very playable. Neck stamp reads 1 MAR 65 B.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in 3-tone sunburst. Tremolo tailpiece with six-saddle adjustable bridge. The mute pad has hardened over time, but the assembly works fine. 4-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 10.4 oz.Pickups: Jaguar single coils with staggered poles. Bridge - 6.74K ohms; Neck - 6.47K ohms. Pots date to '65 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.Case: Original, no-logo hardshell case included. The case is in great shape, just like the guitar.
